[history]
CALHOUN, Ga. -- Eunice Stone and her teenage son went out to run errands that morning. When they finished, they stopped for a late breakfast at the Shoney's on Red Bud Road.
The date was Sept. 12, 2002. The Bush administration had just issued its first "orange alert," indicating a high risk for a terrorist strike. Nine U.S. embassies were shut. In St. Louis, an American Legion memorial service for 9/11 victims was canceled for fear the ceremony might become a target. In Scott County, Minn., someone reported a suspicious truck parked near a water tower.

Asked if he was suggesting Mrs. Stone was lying, he said, "I'm not suggesting, I'm telling you she's flat-out lying." No she wasn't......

I still believe Mrs. Stone, Im sure she heard what she said....but, I bet these three young men were playing a joke on her that backfired.

I believe Mrs Stone was telling the truth, based upon what was said by those three suspects. I salute Mrs Stone as a Patriot.

Before continuing their trip to Miami, the students -- Mr. Gheith, Kambiz Butt, 25, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Iran, and Omer Choudhary, 23, a U.S. native of Pakistani ancestry -- paused at an I-75 rest stop and spoke to reporters. Mr. Gheith denied that he and his friends had discussed Sept. 11 or threatened to do anything on Sept. 13. Asked if he was suggesting Mrs. Stone was lying, he said, "I'm not suggesting, I'm telling you she's flat-out lying."
But a few days later, in a televised interview, Mr. Butt confirmed part of Mrs. Stone's story. " 'Do you have enough money to bring it down?' " he quoted, "that was in regards to Omer bringing a car down from Kansas City ... And I asked him, you know, 'Do you have enough money to bring it down?' "
Actually his story is not inconsistent...he's saying he said this part but not the stuff about September 11th. My gut feeling is she added that part so the police would take her claim more seriously.
Stone was meant to be the Pavlik Morozov of "TIPS", made out to be a hero for doing something reprehensible that fit the current agenda of the government. The idea that an innocent person can lose a position (in medical school) that they earned through their own efforts, and be described as "-- under the microscope and a Barrett .50 cal scope" based upon the unsubstantiated word of a snitch with unknown motivations, is in many ways as dangerous as any terrorist threat.

Altaf Ali, Executive Director at the Council on American-Islamic Relations Florida (center), Kambiz Butt (far left), Ayman Gheith (second from right), and Omar Choudhary (far right), listen to questions from the media during a news conference at the Council on American-Islamic Relations Florida office in Davie Sept 15. These pinheads pulled the equivalent of yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
Screw 'em. They ought to be charged with the expenses of the police investigation that they KNOWINGLY incited.

What I never understood was why in the face of known threats was this woman's face, home address, family, town plastered all over the American screen by the media. No steps were taken to protect her identity. If these boys had been members of a group (I think they could be, or else they need to be charged with being
jack@sses) revenge could have been very quick.
What gives? I still think these fellows were bellweathers to plant a line and see how quickly the new system functioned.

You are so right.
I can visualize that these men were acting in a mood inconsistent, shall we say, with the mood of 99% of Americans on September 12, 2001. They may have been rejoicing about starting medical school, or any other personal matter, but their demeanor alarmed a woman used to observing people's demeanor. It is what nurses do.
She is a patriot.
It would have been much better for the FBI and the TV media to have kept her identity private. Another lesson learned about life in the age of news as infotainment.

I'd rather have people like Mrs. Stone around, who take the protection of their country seriously, than the idiots who believe it could be all just a joke.
Always remaining vigilant isn't just a sometime thing.
Kudos to Mrs. Stone!

These pinheads pulled the equivalent of yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
They held a private conversation that someone eavesdropped on. Are we going to add "talking while Muslim" to "driving while black" on the list of offenses only "those people" can commit?

Where in the hell are the men!
Where I live in the Big Easy, we would have simply invited the gentlemen in question outside into the parking lot for an opportunity to explain themselves, or for whatever else they had on their minds. They want a fight, we'll be happy to give it to them. They want more than that, well, the Big Easy is a Concealed Carry state with a lot of good ole boys packin.
Do we now live in a nation of cowards? Are women now having to do the work of men? Shamefull!

She enjoys seeing long lines at security checkpoints. That says something about her right there. Freedom and total security cannot exist side-by-side.
I'm sure she felt quite important by calling the police that day, just like the ninny that saw money flying out of a wallet inadvertently left on top of a car, that ultimately led to the shooting of a family pet.
