To: Cincinatus' Wife
My daughter is a stay at home mom by choice. She lives in a small town where there are virtually no Hispanics.

Hispanics influencing this is wishful thinking in this article.

It would be nice if the article stated how many moms stayed at home without welfare benefits compared to those who get welfare benefits.

Yes they do try to give it a spin. But while 55% go back after a year, that leaves 45% who stay home after a year.

Our older daughter is having her first child this year and is going to suspend her career to stay home and raise her child. Our younger daughter plans to do the same. They've planned with their husbands to achieve this goal and I'm fully supportive. They both have good degrees and good jobs, but see parenting as their first obligation and know how rewarding it will be.
