Iran's Foreign Ministry said that it was currently impossible for the Islamic Republic to engage in any dialogue with the United States.
When asked if it was possible for Tehran and Washington to resume discreet but direct diplomatic contacts, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said no.
'The US must first change the way it speaks about Iran, he said.'
The US has to accept that it is a member of the international community just like everybody else and is not superior..if this mentality changes, the Americans can escape their growing isolation.'
Tehran and Washington had cut diplomatic ties after the 1979 Islamic revolution, but had recently been engaged in discreet talks within a forum intially set up to address the crisis in Afghanistan.

"Mr. Rumsfeld? The UPS guy is here with your JDAM order. Uh, where do you want to put 'em?"

Defections increases among military circonscripts and officers SMCCDI (Information Service) June 16, 2003
Confirmed reports from sources within the Islamic regime are stating about the increasing number of defection and no show up of military circonscripts and officers who have not showed up following the start of the new week on Saturday.
Many have declared beeing sick or having familial problems.
The increasing trend states on the popular attachment of these members to the people and the increasing decrease of moral among the regime's troops.
