I know that happens a lot also. I knew a maid who left her 4 kids behind in some small town in Mexico with her elderly mother to come work in the US ---her husband had already abandoned her, was working in the US but quickly quit sending money home ---so she was deperate ---she actually located him and he had another family going. You wonder how those kids will fare being raised with an elderly grandmother ---both parents have left them. Yet if somehow they come up here, we the taxpayers end up providing for them.

We help them when we can.. we don't give a damn about what others think. There was a notice on the local store about a father that had four high school kids that needed summer work. I called and told him that I would be glad to have some help during the summer. We have full time hands on the ranch but during the summer it can get to be a handfull, and besides, we like to help the local kids.
They lasted two days.....just wanted some gas money so they could party with their friends at the lake.
We have tried to get local help. We pay a good wage and benefits. Have you every tried to get help when all they want to do is hunt and fish and get their unemployment/welfare check?
If I could, I would hire every one of those little brown skinned workers. And don't jump on me for that. Those little guys can outwork any of the local citizens.
