I went to the world premier of the movie "Dillinger" back in June 1973 at the Gemini Drive-In (Dallas). It was a wonderful night spent with Warren Oates, Michelle Phillips, and Ben Johnson. All of us together at a drive-in made it seem very cozy and personal. It rained buckets that night but I didn't care. I got stuck under a canope alone with Michelle Phillips for about fifteen minutes waiting out the rain. Great night.

Ah, drive-ins. I'll bring the mosquito coil. One reason drive-ins have disappeared is the changing content of the movies. I remember going to a local pizza-place as a teen to watch the R-rated drive-in screen next-door.
