Heavy clashes rock several areas of the Capital SMCCDI (Information Service) June 15, 2003
Heavy clashes are rockin several areas of Tehran, such as, Majidie, Shariati, Haf Hose and Guisha as thousands of demonstrators have poured into streets and demonstrating against the regime.
Bullets, Knives, Chains, Clubs and Tear Gas are used against the freedom fighters who are responding with Molotov Cocktails and hand made grenades.
The situation in Shariati is chaotic and chase and runs are taking place.
Groups of young commandos have destroyed several patrol bikes units by creating traps, in dark streets, with fine Iron cables destabilizing the motorbykes chasing them.
Situation can be compared to city fight.
Many young commando groups have preferred to listen, till now, in order to avoid using guns in retaliation.

Seems like the Ghandi-approach has been rejected.

Protests and clashes rock main provincial cities again SMCCDI (Information Service) June 15, 2003
Violent clashes are rocking again the cities of Esfahan and Shiraz on the 6th consecutive nights of a protest movement which is contributing to the destroction of the remaining pillars of the Islamic regime.
Moral of the many of the official security forces seem lost as in many cases they were scene refusing orders which has lead to altercations giving more energy to the demonstrators. But clashes persist between the special forces and the demonstrators.
Molotov Cocktails are used more abundant than prior nights as many young demonstrators start to believe that an armed uprising can be the only way to overcome of a brutal regime.
Several more have ben imjured this evening again.

Groups of young commandos have destroyed several patrol bikes units by creating traps, in dark streets, with fine Iron cables destabilizing the motorbykes chasing them. I was always a big fan of this one, myself, especially at head/neck level. It's crafty, vicious, and fun to watch.

I was always a big fan of this one, myself, especially at head/neck level. For the "initially unarmed", it's good to station a couple of people near the wire with spears (steak knives attached to broom handles). Spear the thug, take his weapons, disappear

May God protect these brave and noble heroes.
May Iran see beautiful Freedom for its children some day soon. It is never cheap, but their soil is already sanctified by the innocent blood that tyranical regimes have spilled, and the sacrificed blood of these, their willing champions.
True Heroes.

The beauty of this situation is that the forces involved. The military and IRGC have backed away from any responsibility to do crowd control or internal policing a few demonstrations back. This leaves only the Basij morality police, and actual cops, to do the stomping.
The Iranian students and the sympathetic general population may only be armed with knives, traps and homemade explosives, but those can go a long way when your enemy won't be showing up in tanks. Lighly armed mobs clashing outside their grand mosques should have the mullahs more than a little concerned.
