The rules I posted do generate the works of Shakespeare. It's constructive. There are proofs on the net as well as in the literature.

The string constructed as I described also generates all of Dante and Emerson and Spillane.

Don't be ridiculous. It will not create any such thing. First of all, as I pointed out, for it to be intelligible you have to translate it to letters. That takes the 128 rules for each ASCII character. In addition to which you will need a program to generate the fonts to make it intelligible. And still, you have not created anything. I have often said that evolution looks at things in a backward manner. This is what you are doing. No code is going to write the works of Shakespeare by chance or the DNA code of a living creature. More importantly no code is going to write an original work like those of Shakespeare nor an original DNA code for a new species. In fact, without a goal, without a design, you cannot have rules to accomplish a task. Any rules which you might say are the source of life had to be designed, intelligently designed in order to produce life.

BTW - I have yet to hear what are the 5-6 simple rules that were the source of life, the Universe and everything.
