True, and an interesting point, however, since we are talking of natural phenomena, and of matter specifically, I do not think it applies - unless you can show us how it does.

Trivially. Anything that is a cumulation of random events (or non-random events in general.) The amount of water in a lake is the sum of the amount of rainfall (which over the short term is distributed randomly to a good approximation) less the amount of evaporation (again depending on clouds vs sun, etc.)
