Newt Gingrich on one of this week"s Sean Hannity radio shows said that Hillary "has no worse than a 1 in 3 chance of becoming president".
Other things he said almost verbatim:
"Those who underestimate the Clintons in politics, no matter what they may think of them in other areas, are making a big mistake.
"She has endless ambition, is very smart, very determined, and works very hard."

If the GOP fails to put someone in the VP slot who is a legitimate 2008 candidate we are sinking our own boat.I agree. It's not that coming from the VP position is the ONLY way to win, but it is expected when the party is the incumbent. Cheney needs to gracefully step down, citing health concerns, then Bush must select a powerful, rising star in the Pubbie party to be his running mate. Someone who could take on the Beast and beat her in all the areas analysts predict as her strengths: such as appealing to female voters and minorities. That someone is Condi Rice.
Rice is articulate, beautiful, intelligent (real smarts, not just false praise of the media & the NOW hags), and no baggage.
I have fantasies about watching Condi blow Hitlery out of the water in a debate. Bam!! Unfortunately, I also have nightmares about the mess the Beast would leave our country in. There is absolutely no one more polarizing in this country than that awful woman. Our country would be more divided than ever before if she were elected. It's too terrible to contemplate.

I think you'd be surprised to find many on this board who would refuse to vote for Keyes... even over Hillary...

"Cheney needs to gracefully step down..."
Why? He's doing a great job as VP and should stay as VP...

once the focus groups show the "Bill's third term" message effective against her, she will drop him like a hot potato.

Condie Rice will almost certainly be on the ticket in 2008, I don't see any other way to us to win without a woman (and being african-american helps too) on it (I see her as VP, don't know who would be at the top yet).Thank you. At last, a word of encouragement. You may be right, it may take a black woman to beat Hillary. I also do not see any other way to beat her. The voters in America are the biggest bunch of idiots and chumps on earth, and would elect Hillary in a heart beat, so Maybe it will take Condie to beat her. I had been thinking she would win long before Newt said anything, but let's hope for the best.
Regards

It says a lot about the nation, none of it good Yep a country whose heros are movie stars and athletes. A country who glamorizes the 'bad' boy. A country who has their hand out for 'give me more.' Frankly, we're very close to being a nation of non-achievers due to political correctness and punishing those who achieve financially (unless you're a movie star, pop star, or athlete of course).

I agree, Rice is key. They need to get her out of the national security role into something else, maybe as a Cheney replacement after the 2004 election, maybe something else.

Rice is articulate, beautiful, intelligent (real smarts, not just false praise of the media & the NOW hags), and no baggage. Rice has not cared enough about the slaughter of over 40 million unborn children to come out against it.
Do you know what she stands for on anything outside of foreign policy?
She has no spouse or children -- why? Do these facts give her a warped view of life?

"You may be right, it may take a black woman to beat Hillary."
Race has nothing to do with it... Blacks will find a way to communicate that Hillary is more black, even than Condi...

Two words... Fraud, Forgetfulness. Democrats will win with voter fraud, if necessary. Democrats count on the short memory of MOST Americans.
To: marajade
Addicted to what? Certainly not for sex. For power, yes. Power is what she wants, so if its a choice between Bill and the presidency, what will she do?
To: 7 x 77
OK, we'll get some freeper to marry her and impregnate her. Will that make you happy? Geez, some people are never satisfied.
To: marajade
with Rice, we could peel off 15% of the african american vote. That a death sentence for the Dems in an election.

She's addicted to Bill... Bill more than anything else...

You have blacks like Harry Belafonte (sp?) out there calling them slaves because they work for a white republican president...
You see... they only count if they work for a white democratic president...
