We have traitors in our midst. Wonder if Chirac is still popular with the people? Last I read his popularity with the French people was at a good 58%. Also, I wonder how old Tad would feel if the French people went on strike everyone and she and other Americans got stuck in France. And Old Tad and others were forced to fend for themselves considering that nothing was moving in the country. Wonder how pleased she would be with herself then?

This is the article I have been waiting to read. Tourism is big bucks for the frogs and the American boycott will get our message across better than anything else. May the loss be in the billions (dollars not francs).

Keith Richards said it best: "Paris would be great except for the Parisians" He said he couldn't go out for a day without being insulted by a Parisian at least once.

Do you mean to tell me that those commercials, featuring Woody Allen talking about French-kissing his former live-in lover's adopted daughter, now his wife, are not doing the trick?
Go figure.

Even the government--increasingly feeling the ire of its citizens for Chirac's arrogance and insults toward the Bush administration--is officially encouraging the unthinkable toward visitors. It's urging the French to say "BONJOUR!" with a smile.
Last I had heard, Chirac's support for Saddam's barbarism is approved of by about 70% of the French electorate.

The French are now reduced to insulting each other since there are few Americans to abuse.
A caller on Hannity yesterday said, "I'd rather be sentenced to a Taliban prison than ever set foot in France again." He'd just returned from a business trip and reported that the French are viscious about their total hatred for America. And Americans. Why should we subject ourselves to that?

It's high summer in France: bikinis blossom on the beach at St. Tropez...
As if I'd spend the money to fly to France to see copious amounts of women
with healty over-growths of armpit hair.
No thanks. I'll stay here in Southern California where the free eye-candy
probably beats anything at St. Tropez.

. . .French canal pilot does not 'get it' even now.
The fallen omelet was not made by President Bush. . .

From the French Government Tourism Office's March 2003 archive.
I am certain that a few American visitors will be asked about the U.S. Administration's policy on Iraq out of concern and a genuine wish to understand. But if indeed, as has recently been reported, there have been some unpleasant encounters, I strongly believe that they were few and far between. Speaking as a Frenchman and for the overwhelming majority of my fellow countrymen, I consider any such behavior embarrassing, offensive and ultimately very ignorant. We believe that travel is about people meeting people to better know and understand each other. In the end, there is much more that brings us together than what divides us. In life it is not the similarities that enrich us but rather the differences. We look forward to demonstrating our true hospitality and friendship on your next visit.
Patrick Goyet, Director U.S.A., French Government Tourist Office
By their own admission the French have confirmed that American tourists have been subjected to some unpleasant encounters. If you are stupid enough to waste one hard earned dollar on these ungrateful bastards, tell the frogs that America is to blame and they will welcome you like a brother.

A question:
How would you/we feel about the French if the french just quietly disagreed with us about Iraq? Basically saying that we disagree with your policy, but we know you feel strongly about it. We understand you are going to expel Saddam Hussein, but we don't think it is wise, and we have said our peace.
I think that is basically what Germany did, and we don't hear a bunch of German bashing. It wasn't the french opposition, it was their arrogance, and their attitude in general while disagreeing with the US that has so offended many of us (me included).

They made their choice, now they're stuck with it. We're not ALL as spineless as our fortunately EX-president, the national Disgrace in Perpetuity.
Now they can continue to live in fear of their potentially violent immigrants...and eat inexpensive crow with them too.
Yum !

When are the Frogs going to learn? The American Government is not boycotting anything French. George Bush is not either. The American "people" are boycotting everything French because we have had enough of Frances crap. This has been an individual descision made by free individuals based on our own individual feelings. You have no concept of that you will never get it. Especially if you were invaded and defeated 3 times in 90 years and you still didn't learn.

The French will be kneeling toward Mecca with one more generation. From 10% Islamist, they will be 20% armed Islamists. Let them try being "French" under the Sharia.
The last French victory over Islam was at the Battle of Tours. Now with bahksheesh in hand, they think that they can profit from those of the prophet.
