SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - More than 2,000 protesters arrested for clogging city streets to demonstrate against the war in Iraq could see all charges against them dropped.
San Francisco court commissioner Paul Slavit signaled Thursday he would dismiss charges against 2,300 people arrested in protests the day after the war started - unless the district attorney's office files new charges.

"We didn't want to continue to bankrupt the city,"
Right...(yawn) This is so typical of the pillow biter politicians from San Fran. Number one goal: mislead the public into thinking that enforcing the law will bankrupt the city. Geeze! This was a perfect opportunity to stick it to the lawbreakers and have money flowing into the coffers. As usual, everything is assbackwards in the city whose dwellers only think about ass!

Not surprising from a city where the inmates run the asylum. I spit on them (oh no, that may be considered a "hate crime"...punishable by life imprisonment)
