DSS nabs these kids, and yet how many other kids are being sent back to their crack-addicted mothers who beat them up on a regular basis?

The name of the game for DSS/CPS is to "nab" highly adoptable kids.
That's how they make their money. Crack babies are too hard to place.

I nabbed this great quote from your homepage.

Each of us has a natural right—from God— to defend his person, his liberty, and his property. These are the three basic requirements of life, and the preservation of any one of them is completely dependent upon the preservation of the other two. Bastiat - The Law (1801-1850)

They do get the adoption bounty when they are placed ala Clinton's Adoption 2000 Act. However, they also get federal dollars under the Mondale Act for every child they can warehouse. It's all about money, never doubt it. The REAL money in adoption comes from the placements of healthy white infants. The $4,000.00 adoption bounty is chump change in the hard core world of adoption, where a premium white infant can fetch up to $250,000.00. That is the benchmark and the ideal in adoption: The newborn who goes from the womb to the adoptive couple's arms. In that case, the money just flows. Here's a url
Here's another

That said, you are still quite right about the adoption bounty and the warehousing of children; it's the next best thing to placing the babies of unwed mothers who are in very short supply (and therefore bring in the big bucks. ) It's all a business. It's all one continuum which exploits people reproductively for the sake of the buck. Its time we woke up to that fact.

May God have mercy on us all
