The reason I worry about the countries mentioned, in part, is the rising anti-semitism in Europe, the behavior of the French regarding Iraq, the problems Russia has with it's muslim population, and the desire for these to create a counterforce to US "domination"...

If you can't think beyond the moment to see these (and more) ominous signs, I guess you wouldn't have been able to pack up and get out of Europe back in time to avoid a free train trip..

I'll ask you straight out - are you saying that we -- and by extension Israel -- should give up and give the Palis what they want? And if so, then what next? Give up Paris ? (OK, bad example) Give up Detroit? Or Boston? Where does it stop?

The reasons Jews were victims in Nazi Europe are twofold:

If the Palies are pushed too far they might brainwash their young people to strap explosives full of nails in order to detonate in buses and other places where they can kill large numbers of innocent Israeli women and children. I don't necessarily think that, but I believe you are not thinking it through. The fight between these two groups goes all the way back to the time when Abraham kicked Ishmael out of the tent. A true clash of civilizations, a war between Islam and Judaism. Arabs do not want Israel moved somewhere, they want them all dead. This is not a new concept. Terrible wars will happen whether we like it or not, and Armageddon will still happen, and yes, I believe nukes will be used, and lots of them, sometime in the future.
