We have to try to stop evil.

Yes, we do. As to the rest of your reply to me, if I went down that path on THIS THREAD, it would side-track the whole thing. I'd be happy to in freep-mail or on another thread. Not here.

Just know, that if you're really reading that Bible, Old AND New Testament....well, you'll know. This fight began a LONG time ago. And no mortal man will stop it.

I am so afraid this will spiral into nuclear war. I do not want to see Israel annihilated. I do not want to see a Nagasaki or Hiroshima there.

Please forgive me if I misunderstand Israel. I see it as a people more than a place.

I have a hard time with the "inevitabilty" of the Bible, as it seems to me that some can confuse it with the notion that we have no obligation to keep fighting for the people of Israel's right to live in peace and harmony.

Had four years of Bible (full courses) in high school. Went to an Epicopalian high school. King James Bible. I am no longer an Epicopalian, but still believe in God.

No need to discuss it any more. It leads nowhere.

"There has to be a awy to keep the rest of Islam to "deal" with it, and get control of the radicals... Do you think we are ready for whatever that might be? I do not."

sorry jacquej,
Islamic jihad nutcakes are coming for us... whether YOU are ready or not...

Islam can never "deal with it" as you suggest, you sound as if you are pining away for the poor little islamics. YOU have bought in to the propaganda that "Islam is peace." Who with an IQ over thirty actually believes that line?

Surely not YOU... a freeper for years and years... surely not!

By now YOU should KNOW as well as you know your own name, that the murder of jews and christians, hindus and buddhists, is at the very core of the Islamicr belief system. Even the "good muslims" will NEVER condemn the radical branches of islam.. NOT because they are afraid... but because in their religious mind, they ALL agree with pursuing a world UNDER the sword of mohammet obeying their stupid demon god of the moon.

When the rest of Islam, rises up to attack the supposed "minority of extremists" I will probably eat my hat... after all it is becoming increasingly apparent there is very little difference between the trojan horse of moderate islam and the radical murderors hiding in its belly... But how to tell the difference? simple....

the radical muslim, is the one wearing the nail bomb vest... the peaceful one, is holding the detonator...

the only good muslim... is the non believing, non practising one, and even that one, must be watched VERY carefully... to make sure they are not a sleeper cell in hiding.

The question to me is perhaps we should consider the removal of "Israel" from the near east.

How about they remove the Arabs from Israel? That was the deal that created Syria, and Jordan.

Please see my post 145 on the thread. You have misunderstood some of my postings, perhaps. They were part of a long dialogue starting way back around thread 45 or so when I posted an emotional response to another poster worrying about the situation in Israel getting out of control.

This came just as the horriblehamas said they were going after all the Israeli women and children.

I was very upset yesterday at that moment and worried about the entire situation spinning out of control as well, and made a comment that was totally misconstrued by others.

I worry about a nuclear weapon of some kind getting into the terrorists hands, and the innocent Israelis getting annihilated.

My concern is with the people of Israel, not the real estate. But, I know how much the hearts and souls of the Jews are invested in their blessed homeland, and my original remark was expressed in fear for them, and was spontaneous, not well thought out.

This is a highly charged issue. It is important not to take remarks out of context, and accuse people of anti-semitism when it may be opposite of their true feelings. To do so just because someone expresses a feeling, fear, or desire for a solution that is impractical, regarding an ages old problem stifles honest dialogue and learning, I think.

I am truly sorry I ever posted on this thread. I am going to be much more cautious in the future about posting on this topic, as it seems to lead to name calling and flaming.

I did not name call or flame you. I just made a suggestion that if you want to move a population, perhaps the population you should move is the one that does not belong there.

Israel is a Nation, the Arabs have 22 of them, I do not think they need 23 on the path to destroy the world. And it is the world that is the target, not just Israel.

It is just that they picked a tiny nation that streched its longest length, does not even go across the width of California, yet still have had their arses handed to them time and again. This has stalled the Jihad to say the least.

My guess is that there will be a nuclear war here soon, Israel will be hurt, but survive, but the Arabs? Might not fare so well.

Israel has invested in anti-missile defenses, the Arabs have not.

A giant collective Darwin award in the making...

I had enough of that throughout the entire post yesterday, and am pretty much fed up with it, so may have erred in addressing my response to you.

As it happens, you and I have exactly the same views on the situation. There is no peaceful solution to this, only more killing. I am not a pacifist, either. Both my boys have served with distinction in the military. One was AF security and spent quite a bit of time in Saudi Arabia years ago, and is now personally guarding John Ashcroft, and one graduated from West Point at the top of his class, serving with the 82nd Airborne in Iraq.

Go back and read through the attacks on me. All because I made a response wishing Israel could have peace and quiet to pursue thier desire to live in freedom without constant terrorism.

Enough of it. I am at a total loss as to why a poster gets a constant barrage of personal ridicule and ad hominem attacks in this subject area. I have learned a lesson. Keep my thoughts and feelings on this subject to myself.

You have a big problem, because you do not understand the simplest concepts of the Bible, yet feel you know it. A very dangerous place indeed. If you have had four years of Bible training, your teacher was incompetent at best, or duplicitous at worst.

Do you realize that if Israel is moved, mankind is doomed? Why do you think there is so much effort to move them by the Jihadist’s? Israel stays, Islam is doomed because Mohammad said they would never have a homeland again. If Mohammad lied, then he was not inspired, and the whole of Islam is based on a foundation of sand.

However if Israel is destroyed, then the Bible lies and salvation in Christ is based on a book that lies.

This IS Armageddon. The battle of Meggedo is just a small battle in a very big war.

You claim to be a Christian, but you do not understand it at all. I suggest you toss all you have heard about the bible away and start fresh. First off, do you KNOW Jesus, not in books, but in your heart?

Well aren't you tactful.

Of course I realize that. I was taught by Anglican Nuns and Priests. (Church of England's version of Christianity, you know... C.S. Lewis?) Took Theology my senior year.

I have never stopped studying. But, I do not beleive it is my calling to demand that others share the particluars of my religious faith, nor to insult them if they do not.

I also do not go around directing criticism at total strangers if they make remarks on worldly topics that do not measure up to my understanding of Christian concepts.

I would suggest that you reread Matthew 7: 1-5, or Luke 39 - 45. I have pressing matters to deal with nowand really do not want to discuss this with you any further. I am sorry if my remarks have offended you.

Not a problem, I have not been offended in the slightest, so don't worry.

CS Lewis is hot stuff, but theology? Man no wonder you are where you are at.

Like I said, lay off the books and spend a little quality time on your knees. I suggest a semester worth of time away from all but The Book, and with some good coffee, sitting under a tree praying. Great stuff!

How about a random devotional time. How you do it is a short prayer to God asking for guidence, and flip open a Bible to wherever. Then read with a question mark in your heart. Do not interpret, just question. Pretend that God is talking to YOU, and soon He will be.

I said what I said because what is happening in Israel is very, very, important to the Church and very important to prophecy. If you do not hear God, you will miss the boat on the issues as they are so clouded.

Blessings, and don't get your feelings hurt so easy. Lots of times no slight is intended, or offence taken.

CS Lewis is hot stuff, but theology? Man no wonder you are where you are at.

The devil can take many forms, and one of the forms he loves to take is as the naysayer of other denominations.

It has always struck me as odd that while Catholics and Anglicans keep their noses out of other denomination's methods of practicing Christianity, certain evangelicals have a deep underlying hatred of Catholics, etc, that they perpetuate at any opportunity.

CS Lewis is unique because he is well respected in a large number of Christian circles from Baptist to Catholic. He is most well known for his desire to see all the deeply faithful Christian churches united under one umbrella: Jesus.

Many fundamentalists teach their children that Catholics are "bad" because the "worship idols" and "pray to Saints". Catholics may well do these things and it may also be wrong to do these things, but it does not change the fact that most Catholics love Jesus and have him in their heart as much as the PCA Presbyterian or Baptist or Mormon next door.

Indeed, I agree with you, and am non-denominational my self. I have only see the football team mentality of denominationalism fruit in doctrine applied above the simple reading of the Word and Relationship with God Himself.

When doctrine is concentrated, relationship is diminished as a general rule of thumb.

That is why I suggested a good cup of coffee, the good book and prayer. Cures the ills of the soul like nothing else.
