Since we have only determined the function of 2% of the human genome we really do not know if the so called "gay gene" exists. In the absence of information one must make choices as to what to believe.

It is sort of like flying saucers. No one can prove they do or do not exist. In the absence of information some people choose to believe they are real, some people choose to believe they are not real and some people choose to keep an open mind.

In any case, choices one makes in these situations do tell a lot about that person.
