Those 1,009 hours of audiotapes and 67 videotapes recorded in prosecutors' efforts to put state Supreme Court Justice Gerald Garson behind bars reveal more than money passing hands. They also lay bare some rather ribald locker-room comments made by Garson and Brooklyn lawyers, sources told the Daily News.
Garson, 70, has been indicted for allegedly taking cash, cigars and free dinners and drinks from lawyer Paul Siminovsky to fix divorce cases.
Siminovsky is caught on tape discussing a woman in a bitter custody battle in which Garson awarded her children to the husband.
"You know what I could have told her yesterday? 'You want your kids back? Get down on all fours, and ... [perform a sex act],'" Siminovsky is heard saying. "The problem is, I'm in this case, so I can't ask her to do it."
Siminovsky was talking to Nissim Elmann, who is accused of giving him money to steer cases to Garson.
Siminovsky is cooperating with authorities and has had all bribery charges dropped.
In another instance, Garson retreats to his robing room after a trial involving a female lawyer who recently had her breasts enlarged and had donned a blouse with several buttons undone.
A source familiar with the conversation said Garson asked Simonovsky and an unnamed female lawyer, "Did you see so-and-so who just had her breasts done?"
"One more button and she would have won the case."
The female lawyer responded, "If that's the case, wait till you see how many buttons I have unbuttoned tomorrow."
