Take the high road. Be civil, but resolute, when you are cursed at or given the middle finger; point out the rudeness of the leftists by chanting, "Mean spirited arrogant condescending liberal." I prefer to just smile and wave.....it makes them more mad that they didn't get you upset! :o)

We smile the whole time we are chanting "MEAN SPIRITED ARROGANT CONDESCENDING LIBERAL" while he/she/they quickly walk away. It has been very effective.
