I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Howard Stern's
Private Parts book. It is absolutely HILARIOUS. Plus it has LOTS of great graphics interspersed with the text which makes for EASY and FUN reading. I read that whole book in one day.
BTW, I am right now contemplating whether to scan the copies of the 200+ letters that I sent to Howard on a weekly basis over a five year period. Many of these letters were read by Howard on the air. Along with the commentary I could add to the letters I think this could be a valuable research tool for future scholars studying the impact of Howard on our culture.

Sounds like YOU have a book ready to go.
If not 'graphics,' certainly 'graphic' would have rendered 'Living History,' if not 'fun,' at least easier on the sensibilities.
