As someone pointed out on an earlier thread, the criminalizing of settlements under the Road Map makes Judaea and Samaria the only places on earth where Jews are forbidden to live by law.

Not true, they are also forbidden by law to live in Saudi Arabia, and all non-Moslems are prohibited from Mecca and Medina.

That's not true.

They are forbidden to live in Saudi Arabia and some other Arab countries.

Think about it, the United States of America is friendly to countries were Jews are not allowed to live.

Substitute Christians, Blacks, Japanese, people with disabilities, transgender people, anything, and see if the result would be the same.

I believe they are allowed to temporarily reside but not externally manifest their religion in Saudi Arabia. No non-Moslem is officially permitted to be a citizen or permanent resident of Saudi Arabia. So the prohibition applies generally to all non-Moslems and is not specific to Jews.

To be more specific: the only place on earth which will by law exclude Jews and no other group from residence is the "Palestinian" state of Judaea and Samaria.

I don't know about others besides Saudi Arabia, but the Saudis extend this ban to all unbelievers - not just Jews specifically. Try being a Baha'i in Saudi Arabia.

I don't think there is a single Jew living in Jordan, the really friendly Arab country.

If I were Jewish I wouldn't want to live in Jordan either.

That doesn't mean that the government of Jordan forbids them to reside there.

Even the Taliban tolerated Jews living in Kabul. Both of them...

Simply put, "most Americans" don't give a rat's ass, and most don't have enough information to make a decision anyway.

From the full article:

I would like to know more about the modality used in conducting this poll. The article doesn't even tell us WHERE the poll was conducted.

"WHERE the poll was conducted."

Perhaps at ZOA headquarters?
I've seen Leno do his "walks".
It's laughable to think that "most Americans", who geographically don't no $hit from Shinola, have any opinion on "Judea-Samaria," even if given the clue that it is not the name of a new heavy metal band.

What are the legal issues here? Who owns the land that the settlements are on? The state of Israel? An individual or group, Arab or Israeli? If anyone can answer these for me, please help me out.

Do settlers pay property tax and to whom?

What about services, I assume they have septic tanks and well water, but what about electricity, telephone, trash, etc...Do they pay any other municipal taxes for these?

Good questions! Also, what are the proposals for Israelis living on possibly eventual Palestinian land? Will they be forced to leave? If so, how is that justified? Will they be considered resident aliens?

Israel must dismantle security "outposts" near existing communities; halt all construction, even that which is needed for the natural growth of the Jewish communities

Into whose land? What land are you 'growing' into?

Just remember: kicking muslim Arabs out of Israel = evil human rights violation. Kicking Jews out of Israel = getting the Jews out of the way so they won't antagonize the Arabs with their existence.
