McCain condemns Saudis for bankrolling Hamas
Jerusalem Post ^ | Jun. 12, 2003

"If anyone came to my hometown in Phoenix, AZ and set off a bomb on a bus and killed 18 people and injured 100 of them, my citizens would expect us to respond," US Senator John McCain, R-Ariz, told reporters in answer to a question about whether he approved of Bush's condemnation of Israel's attempt on Hamas leader Rantisi's life.

"Do you want to call that a cycle of violence? You can call it what you want, but these acts of terror, these organizations, funded by the Saudis, at least encouraged by Yasser Arafat, are inexcusable in their tactics—and their results are horrendous."

Why is Bush refusing to allow Israel to do as the US would, instead pressuring it to negotiate with killers?

Although I agree with McCain here, I still wish the anti-gun, anti-First Amendment, Denocrat suck-up would crawl back under whatever rock he came out of and stay there.

until finally something gives...

The Israelis need to get serious and take out 10 square blocks surrounding every known terrorist hive in the territories, America's wavering resolve be cast to the wind.

As a Phoenix, Arizona resident, I can tell you this:

If a bomb were set off on a bus here that killed 16 people, 10 would be illegal aliens from mexico,
4 would be methamphetamine addicts,
2 would be people who lost their drivers license from repeated DUI.

...and the Arizona Republic would print "Bus bomb: Women, minorities hardest hit" as it's headline.

Thanks for all these wonderful artcile Yoni. I wonder if Bush will have any comments today. Maybe he'll say "stay the course." Bah!

Powell did that for him already.
