Truth is my bride's flying to Myrtle Beach in a couple weeks to spend a week with her folks at their ocean condo & that'd be an ideal time to load up my old/new Chev & head east.
Unfortunately I recently made my 1st degree brown belt & that means the intensity level of training has increased two-fold.
Two levels of brown, two levels of red & then it'll be testing for a 1st degree black.
As it is, the 4th-5th & one 6th degree members of the club I work out of nominated me to join their "Masters Club."
That'd mean if I accepted, there'd be a committment to reach a 2nd & 3rd degree under their careful tutorage.
A big decision y'know, affecting about the next 5 years of my life beginning, *today*.

After having witnessed how people (on the right) have behaved now that they have the power in their hands; and, how the leaders we've elected have used said power?
I'm ashamed to be affiliated with the political right.
That's been quite a blow to me, honestly speaking; &, one which caught me completely flat-footed.
I swear it's the one & only thing I never, ever counted on being lambasted by.
Suppose it might've been a long overdue reality check for someone like me, be it for good or bad.
Since I'm neither a lefty or Libertarian I don't quite know what in the hell to do.
I love the country alright; but, I cannot love it more than it loves itself, either.
So I've done nothing.
Which really has been a safer -- & most certainly saner -- tack than fighting with & on behalf of people who haven't a clue.
Even if it were only I who feels as I do, I'm compelled to do what I think is right for myself, now.
