Sometimes Funeral processions have unmarked cycles with riders resembeling patrol officers doing traffic control. Here in Calif. we see them all the time, you have to take a second look because there appearence looks just like your local highway patrol officer.

well, we thought about that too ... but no hearse ... wouldn't have mattered 'cuz the hearse would have needed a 426 Hemi with a 6-71 supercharger / nitrous oxide to keep up with this guy once he hit the gas ...

Funerals in LA typically rent real cops with their real motorcycles for the motorcade. Just another way to supplement the officer's income, increase safety, and it also gives the cops an opportunity to do some training. Yeah, that's it. Training! And if someone tries to bust up the motorcade, you have a real cop with real peace officer authority right there to persuade them.
