I have to say that I would never have suspected that this Walmart was reknowned for moving tons of books. The book section is mediocre, at best. I'd have thought that the various Borders are better at moving books, BWDIK?

Fairfax County, in general, is a place where a lot of books are sold. Last time I checked, we have more college grads as a percentage of population than anywhere else on earth, and the population does buy a lot of books.

Discount pricing of books by well-known authors, I suppose.

the various Borders are better at moving books,

I was at Border's in White Flint tonight for almost an hour. They had about 5 or 6 stacks of Hil's book in various places and the whole time I didn't see anyone pick up a copy.

When we walked in, my 8 yo exclaimed "Oh look, Hilliary's book". I replied, "Don't look at it. You'll turn to stone." and the few people nearby laughed.

The kool-aid crowd gave her a one day bump but that's all they can do. It's already gone from 1st to 3rd in the Amazon bibliograghy best sellers in just one day.
