Father Arraigned in Killing of His One-Year-Old Daughter
A Stockton father was arraigned Tuesday afternoon in the killing of his one-year-old child.
Khanh Duy Phan, 33, is accused of stabbing and decapitating his daughter Katherine on Saturday. Police said the child was killed with a meat cleaver.
The baby's grandmother discovered the child in the garage of the house in the 1100 block of Carlisle Court in Stockton at about 2 p.m. Saturday. The baby's body was moved to the family room by the time police arrived.
About five hours after the killing, Phan drove to the Stockton police station, knocked on the back door, and turned himself in to officers.
Phan is being held without bail.

Just a tardy right to choose. I find our cultural acceptance of crushing skulls, acid baths, ice picks to the skull, and crushing via suction to be just as horrifying as a meat clever. Just a procrastinated pregnancy termination, nothing more sinister here.

Isn't it odd that no explanation is even suggested?
Motivation?
Marital status?
Mental patient?
Extraterrestrial?
What?

Hey, that defense might just work. I recall a case in NY where a woman left her baby on the sidewalk while she went into a restaurant with the baby's father (a New Yorker). After her arrest she claimed that it was OK to do it in Denmark (or where ever she was originally from). She even ended up suing NY for daring to arrest her.

Both appear insane. Incidentally who is this second guy with that decorated face? Seems I've seen him before somewhere.

Tis a woman I think. I use it often for my sick freak of the day award, though I may look for a new one soon. Open to suggestions.

People do leave children sleeping in prams just outside stores in Denmark. It was stupid to do in New York, but it is done in Europe.
