Wow. Maybe we need a new home video called 'When Movies Attack', or maybe we need a 7-day waiting period when renting movies - I mean, movies have killed how many people over the years?
(Hint: The answer is none.) ;0)

We called it bumper riding,
it was great fun, and if the driver didn't know it was even more fun,
in the snow only, scared the crap out of one lady,
we were riding low and when we got tired, stood up and tapped on the window,
she about lost it, three kids, standing in her back window at 20+MPH.
Never hang on to truck when they are doing donuts. quite scary......but fun.......
prayers for the family,,,,,,,

We used to ski the Grand Canal in Phoenix. You tie a rope to a car and have it drive alongside the canal and you ski behind it. My cousins, brothers and myself had great fun at this until my uncle caught us, and beat our butts real good.

This is the nightmare of most parents-- that their kid will be seriously injured doing something dumb.

It is a parents worst nightmare.I know, because I live the reality of it every day.And I wonder if the idiots who dare to nominate this tragedy for the Darwin award have spared a thought for the parents who have had to bury this child and how heartbreaking it is to experience the soul destroying grief that comes with losing a teenager. My heart goes out to the members of this boys family.I'm sure that all of us have made bad decisions in our life but not all of us have paid the ultimate price.

Back in the 30's , my father and his brothers would hop on and hang on to the back of streetcars and hitch a free ride. He said the conductors would try to smack their hands with a iron bar, and they'd jump off.
Part of the risk involved. Nowadays, I suppose one would sue the transit company.
