Seriously, though, are there ANY viable precautions one can take, aside from prayer?

Seriously, though, are there ANY viable precautions one can take, aside from prayer? Yes. Stay out of hospitals. That's where the infections have been occuring. It's not out in the community as far as anyone has been able to discern.

Wash your hands a LOT, and don't touch your face...Just reading up about norovirus: Like SARS, it also lives on surfaces for several days. It also is shed through fecal matter for up to 2 weeks after recovery.
The bottom line is: People who are feeling better are walking disease spreaders.
So, learn to keep your hands away from your face. Teach your children to keep their hands away from their faces. Wash and sanitize!
