It isn't a "popular recreation spot" on Christmas Eve.

Very few murders involve dumping the body hours a way from where they are taken.

The Modesto area has lots of irrigation ponds and canals to dump somebody in. You don't have to drive far to find a "good" spot.

Again, the odds of being at a particular distant location the day your wife disappears, hours from her home, where she is later found dead is astronomically against.

About finding a "good spot"

Remember that the body was found weeks afterward, very near shore or on it, and the site had been in the news for the entire time.

I don't know if SP is guilty or not but if I were looking for a place to dump a body it would very likely be someplace the papers and internet had associated directly to another suspect.

Regarding an earlier post and FOX news; I'm still watching FOX but the thirty or so minutes each hour of "Laci and her family" coverage is prime time to accomplish other tasks.

what do you think the odds could be in dumping a body far from a place a victim is familiar with, a stranger, or someone known to the victim? Meaning, hearing this morning from San Jose Police, the kidnapping of Jennette Tamayo, they knew they had at least a 3 hour window if it was a stranger abduction, and that if so, she would be found dead, or anything beyond that window, that would be a person who knows or is known to the victim, and chances are she would still be alive. Which, SJPD looked intensely for the 9 yr old, and knew, as stated in the news, that after that 3 hour window, she was somewhere in the Bay Area, and would be a matter of time to find her, alive. Thank goodness, many common sense people and aware from the Alert, via media, Tamayo was drop off....most likely after that perp ordered and had pizza delivered from Little Ceasers, with the Child Missing Alert flyer...

Now that must of told the suspect, ah oh!

Just curious on the many factors of missing persons abductions, when each one is different. But in Laci Peterson's case, many tall tale factors indicate and point directly to Scott Peterson. Only by July 16th, hoping enough evidence presented will hold him to the charges to commence the murder(s) trial.

The problem with this line of thinking is that LE has no indication that Laci was dumped in the bay on Christmas Eve. After months of decomposing it is safe to bet that they might, maybe have a two week window for the dumping. I would bet that a month is more likely.

Once someone hears that Scott was on the bay it becomes the perfect place to dump the body.

The other problem I see is that there really doesn't seem to be much blood in the house.

While I have never dismembered a person, I have butchered several hogs in the 150-300 lb weight range. This is not a job which an inexperienced person could do in darkness. If Scott set up a light he would be visible for miles.

Somewhere there is a place where Laci was dismembered. It is either inside a building or in dense vegetation, hidden from passerbys. There is/was a lot of blood at that location and probably bits of flesh as well.
