There is no incentive for the blacks to vote Republican.

Actually, I disagree with you about this. If blacks, as a group, really wanted to expand their political influence, they would not put all their eggs in one basket, but would work the system and make both parties work for their vote. What you have now is a party who takes their votes for granted. Furthermore, if one party has a lock on your constituency for the last 40 years and life has not improved for you, don't you think that your loyalty should be re-examined?

When you are born a Democrat or a Baptist or a Jew or a Catholic you tend to stay that way. If you tend to get disenchanted you become agnostic. That is one of the reason so many people don't vote.

If you get tired of voting for these gutless, inept 'Republicans you aren't going to start voting for the socialists(democrats) are you? -Tom
