Well for starters I have no problem getting rid of my trash at this point. All I'm looking for is a bumper sticker.
But in answer to your question, as you know there is not enough room in MY backyard. I didn't buy my land for that purpose. There is plenty of room on remote private land that has almost no value other than as a trash fill. There are people who OWN that land who are HAPPY to take my garbage.
There are people we pay to take our garbage there. I am even willing to pay a reasonable flat rate for additional garbage hauling. Unfortunately the enviro-nazis have set up all kinds of restrictions and regulations because they want to reduce consumerism and capitalism. That's not a good enough reason for me.
I will continue to throw the trash in whatever cans they provide me with.
I bent over backwards trying to agree with at least part of your assertions about government waste, but you hurt your own argument by throwing out stuff like the above which is simply untrue.
I have found over the years that a*****es tend to define themselves.
First of all it does not help the environment. If you perform an energy budget, it is a lot more wasteful in human energy, and fosil fuel energy.
It might take just a "little" effort for people without a life.
Enabling the controling neurotics among us is a counterproductive activity.
It is not highly publicized that most of the "recyclable" material in fact ends up in the same landfill as regular trash.
Ignorance is bliss.
And the moral high hobby horse is real with dopers and the tofu crowd.
So?
