Despite terror attacks, IDF prepares to dismantle outposts

Despite two deadly terror attacks on Sunday, in which 5 Israeli soldiers were killed at the Erez Crossing and in Hebron, the IDF is preparing to dismantle some 15 "unauthorized" outposts in the West Bank, in accordance with the "road map" peace initiative and PM Ariel Sharon's declaration at the Akaba summit. Although efforts are being made to have settlers vacate outposts voluntarily, the army may move into action tonight.

Yes. I heard on the radio yesterday (ABC News) that Colin Powell said he expected they would still be dismantled.(despite the murders)

You know, I used to be angry every time one of those murdering thugs blew himself up and killed innocent people. But I see the Isrealis' utter lack of will to defend themselves, to send an unmistakeable message to these vermin, and now all I can feel is pity. I guess it's the persecution complex, or maybe the full measure of the curse of the New Testament - I don't know. I just cannot comprehend how there could be a significant segment of voters that would seek conciliation.
