The "part" they lifted a fingerprint from is a finger. They have managed to get a fingerprint from one of the sets of remains--not from a perp.

Everyone was impressed with Scott when they met. Scott and Laci honeymooned in Tahiti. Everyone thought they had the idyllic marriage.
