AAAAAA-HAAAAA!

Cold busted, my man!
That post was not a haiku,
as I counted it.

I appreciate
you trying to keep me sharp,
but if you check it,

you'll see that my post
is in quotes. I do haiku,
but I quote normal...

(Since I put that up,
however, I've learned that I
mis-remembered it!

The actual quote
is from a Dorothy Parker
piece about the world:

"Drink, and dance and laugh and lie,
Love the reeling midnight through,
For tomorrow we shall die!
(But, alas, we never do.)"

ATTRIBUTION: Dorothy Parker (1893–1967), U.S. writer, wit. "The Flaw in Paganism.")
