}Like all Law, Scripture is intended to be believed and to be obeyed, not to be "interpreted!"
Scripture is many things including history, prophesy of things to come, and a little law. History and prophesy are not meant to be "obeyed".

As I said in post #7:
<< "President Bush is a Good Man and a Great American.
And would be the first to recognise that to err is Human.
And to acknowledge his Human falibility." >>
On many occasions I have referred to him as the Ju-Jitsu President as a mark of considerable respect for his unerring ability to use other peoples' self-perceived strengths to tie themselves in knots and rip off their own legs and arms.
So, maybe you're right.
God knows the Egyptian murderer, Daschle Arafat's, Trans-Jordanese/AKA "palestinians" are likely prime candidates for arm and legless runners up in a Ju-Jitsu contest with World Champ, President Bush!

The people who cast off Israel. Usually, but not always, they put themselves in his place.

"Which Jews would President Bush (and this nation) be treating like dirt if he (this nation) were to 'kiss of' the roadmap." I'm not concerned about the Jewish reaction, but God's. If Bush lays the groundwork for nearly destroying Israel, we will pay the price.

"Burst - bubble" I have not predicted anything and furthermore it is not about me or what I think.
Things have and will happen according to the Word of our Heavenly Father. What I responded to was an article trying to make a case quoting a non existent scripture and taking out of context another.
"the old Law" "ten commandments" were never nailed anywhere, Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of "ordinance" that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross:
There is a big difference between "ordinances and the law".
v15 And having spoiled (means - put off) principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
v16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
v17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
The New Testament no where states that physical Israel is over done as far as our Heavenly Father is concerned. Christ first instruction to the disciples was to go but to the lost tribes of Israel this was prior to his death.
If one truly wants what is sent to the children to understand and follow our Heavenly Father through Christ one cannot ignore what Christ taught from, the Old and without understanding the foundation from the beginning Genesis, the New or what changed after Christ's death cannot be understood.
I do agree with you that all must follow Christ.
To: majordivit
Seems to me that you forget who is ultimately in control and Genesis 12 was spoken to Abram and he had more than one child, what exactly does that name Abraham which our Heavenly Father himself renamed Abram to mean.
Seems to me that too many base their whole existence on not getting a curse that has nothing to do with themselves.
The prophets all lay out the things that will be and somehow it seems to be forgotten that those "children" who were directly spoken to did not follow our Father. What will be will be it is WRITTEN!
To: freedom9
It is hard to ignore hard cold facts. Seems to me that the one thing that separates this nation from all others is that the foundation of this nation is that "RIGHTS given to the individual by the CREATOR no government can take" maintains our blessings, not that we the people are such special people.
Look who we elected for two terms, kinda like a "seduction".
To: Thinkin' Gal
Well doesn't it come down to either Christ was whom it is Written He WAS, IS, and WILL BE, or none of what is Written is true.
Flesh beings in the majority have never gotten it "right", and all through the Written Word there has never been a majority who were right and there is nothing new under the sun today.
Paul tells us in ICorinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: (examples) and they are written for our admonition, (warning) upon whoms the ends of the world (age) come.
So Paul teaching, sending to even us today that those things that happened written about in the Old were types of things to be replayed again that would bring about the ends of the world (world means AGE). So from the beginning (Genesis) throughout the OLD is a lesson for us this day to understand what has and will continue to take place.
Sad part of all this is that those "children" who so many think Genesis 12 is talking about never seemed to get around to following the Heavenly Father. Those "children" themselves were told what is required for them to do to maintain their protection and blessings and somehow in this day and time some think it is their job to pave their own road and try and use the scripture to give their own road credibility with what they believe.
The book of Ephesians gives us a glimpse about "chosen", election, "predestinated" and no nationality, region, tribe or specific people are spoken directly to and about. So some should then question just when did all this choosing, electing and predestinating take place?
All those who were chosen and selected to pen our Heavenly Father's Words apparently had a record before they came to this earth in a flesh body, else how could our Heavenly Father say to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I KNEW THEE; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
To: Phil V.
The actual depth of what Hillary knows fully I have no clue, but there is one written about that fell because of pride, and her actions come pretty close to what his downfall happened about.
Hillary is but a flesh being, and possibly demonically inspired, but she would be nothing without all of her little servants and water carriers that keep her going, and that doesn't say much or maybe says a whole lot about more than just Hillary.
Point about Hillary is that who it is that gives her power are just as much responsible as she is.
Hillary knows without a doubt that she can never be elected as president without more than just the socialistic liberal base, because she has a history. The loyalty of that base will allow her to appear as if she is shunning them and seek to seduce the masses because of that appearance of being shunned by her and to her from her base.
This book business and the manner in which things are being so called "leaked" and reaction to the so called "leaking" is just another orchestrated event to make her look human, picked upon and a search for "sympathy".
A seduction of the emotions, just the same manner of another seductor who rebelled against the CREATOR.

Revelation 16 19Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

On that day, G-d made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your descendants I have given this land, from the Egyptian River as far as the great river, the Euphrates"
Genesis 15:18
O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham?
2 Chron. 20:7

Someone actually wrote a book about it. It's amazing and something to consider. Bush is treading on dangerous ground if he thinks Jerusalem is to be divided.

Somebody please tell me who has been the greatest nation of all recorded history and which nation has fed the world and which nation that all families of the earth have been blessed by?Do you mean Rome ?
To: aimhigh
I believe so, too. We have got to respect the Jews and fight for them, not divide them up!

While I'm a supporter of Israel, I think the writer is jumping the gun a bit. We must remember that Israel is a secular state, not a theocracy. Just because they bear the name "Israel" does not mean this is the "Israel" God is refering to in those passages. It would seem to me that, if Israel were to become a theocracy, the writer might have something.
