You're right. The politicians are in the vote buying business and there's not much we can do about that.

I'm too old to worry about disappointment, but I also know that things change.

I like to believe that this age of corruption will come to an end soon, and the words of those of us who are speaking out now will be remembered.

The vote buying crooks of today may become the despised vermin of tomorrow.

My position is not pro drug. My position is pro Constitution

So I guess, according to your own words that those who support abortion, are not pro-abortion but pro-constitution.

I don't know why you play these semantic games like the pro-abortion people do.

I've been a Republican voter for over forty years. The failure of the GOP to stand up for the Constitution on this issue has me ready to bolt the party.

Judge Gray just may be the one to send me into the Libertarian camp!

I started door to door for Nixon at about 16. After 35 years of lessor of two evils CFR was the straw that broke my back.

Limited government is just a talking point for the reps anymore, think I'm done with them.

Most voters are interested in what the government will do for them. Period.

If so, then the United States of America is doomed---but I can at least have the satisfaction of knowing I wasn't one handing nails to those closing up the coffin.

But in the 2000 election, the Libertarian presidential ticket received 382,892 votes (of 105.4 million cast, or about 3.6 percent).

Actually that would be 0.36 percent.

And you just lick your chops at that thought don't you. Oh well hope you are happy with your President Kerrey, Gephardt, Lieberman etc.

I thought the "libertarian voters" at 0.36 percent didn't matter?

Which is it?

Which is it?

Two different repsonses.

I corrected the actual Libertarian percentage in 2000(that was inflated by multiple of 10). I do not know if the wrong percentage came from the reporter or if it came from Judge Gray.

Anyway the percentage was quoted wrong in the article and it is amazing that such easy math would get through an edited news article.

My reply #6 was in response to radiohead, who I believe was licking his chops to see another Perot. Perot, IMO, did help in giving the country Clinton for 8 years.

"In February, the lifelong Republican quit the party, re-registered as a Libertarian"

A RINO Liberdopian from the get-go, just now showing his true colors (yellow among them).

"His alternative would look something like this: Drugs like marijuana and heroin would be decriminalized and sold at licensed pharmacies for dramatically less than they fetch on the street."

This is legalization, not decriminalization. I don't know whether it's the author that categorized it as such or the Libertarian judge. Utter ignorance.

"The editorial board of this newspaper, which has no control over news content, adheres to a Libertarian philosophy of smaller government and personal freedom."

Thus answering the question of why so many trees has to die to publish this non-story.

"Gray follows in his father's activist footsteps."

Lord save us from these activist judges.

Provide evidence for your claim.

Yet another convert (one with authority to speak on the matter), followed by others on this thread who are also turning away from the WoD, some also with great authority to speak (post #14). The walls of tyranny continue to crumble.
