:WHERE DID THE WMD GO?" Ira Stoll at the New York Sun has the story of the day that the rest of the MSM won't be covering. There's a lot of excellent analysis of the story--Start with Rick Moran, who has extensive commentary and round-up.Scott Johnson at Power Line...Mac Johnson says Jay Rockefeller's in trouble...Bryan Preston... Mark in Mexico...

Just the Facts...

Questions on DOCEX (Stephen Hayes documents found in Iraq)

Saddam's secrets (WMD's)--Rick Moran reviews all the previous information to the effect that Saddam transported his WMD’s to Syria before the war, information now confirmed by Iraqi General Sada, author, Saddam’s Secrets. He does a wonderful job of putting it all together. I’d add just one thing: the aborted post-invasion chemical attack on Jordan where that government said the chemicals for the attack had been transported to Jordan from Syria.  Macsmind reminds us that Senator Rockefeller made his trip to Damascus just prior to the reported transshipment of WMDs, a trip in which he has admitted he warned Assad that the invasion  of Iraq was certain.

Saddam's WMD's: The Syrian Connection-- The New York Sun is doing yeoman’s work in explaining why the latest group-think—that Saddam Hussein had no proscribed WMD—may be very wrong. Ha’aretz has lent its support, reporting that Israeli officials believe “[m]aterial was transferred to Syria in the dark of the night, on the very eve of the war,” and “[t]he Americans are the ones who are making the mistake now." That is also the view of retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. James Clapper, who headed the National Imagery and Mapping Agency.

Saddam's Philippines Terror Connection(Yes, Saddam financially supported terrorists) --now how do we convince the MSM to print these documents?
It seems very unlikely the MSM will ever print any documents that would prove they were wrong for years.

Bush had good reason to believe there were WMD in Iraq --If you’ll take a look at the websites, below, you’ll see that Iraq DID have WMD’s, but the main stream media doesn’t want to report it.

I know, it doesn't fit the template so it doesn't get reported. (sigh)

Captain's Quarters: Case Closed

Captain’s Quarters has a translation of an Iraqi document showing that Saddam Hussein recruited suicide bombers to attack American interests.

Prediction: this will have no effect on the “Bush lied, millions died!” crowd, who are in the grip of a derangement so severe that no facts or documents will ever have an impact.  Yes, and there were WMDs.    link: 32 comments

You're referring to the work by Laura Mylroie, which traces Saddam's involvment in a secret war against the US since the end of the first Gulf War?

'The Iraqi Regime Has Transported The Chemical And Biological Weapons'

CQ reader Sapper sends along a new document from the captured files of the Saddam Hussein regime, one that had just been released on Friday, that has notations indicating where WMD stockpiles might be found. The information on the memo has not been translated but the notations themselves sound breathtaking: In case the DoD website gets slow, I've also uploaded the document to my server here.   Comments (39)
