Good points about the poly-sci neighbor. When asked what clothes Laci was wearing that morning, he said (I'm paraphrasing) a white top and tight black long pants, or something like that. But later in the broadcast someone stated that one of the Laci posters showed her in that outfit.
Now I'm wondering if this democrat saw the poster and wanted his 15 minutes of fame and impress his students, so he used the ol "Laci walking the dog" scenario that others used. According to her friends, Laci's ankles, hands were swollen, therefore, unlikely to be walking the dog.
For some reason, I don't trust the guy. He seems too anxious.

I can assure you, they don't rely on the patient for information on how to Anesthetize their patients. I also doubt very much that anyone in the medical profession would rely on their patient for guidance in these areas, but I fail to understand how that relates to the patient researching various methods which might be used. Even if Laci was completely wrong on whether GHB might be used, it is still a legitimate subject she might research.
Just as the patient has little control over the treratment recommended by the doctor, the doctor has absolutely no control over what the patient looks up on the internet.

Once the prosecution presents it's case showing how it would be impossible for these folks to have seen Laci on the 24th, they will vanish. And just how is the prosecution going to do that?
They don't have a time of death. They have dog handlers inferring from the behavior of dogs, days after the event, the she probably got into a car. The defense will tear that to shreds. Hell, I don't even believe it now.
Laci was known to walk the neighborhood with the dog. I think a jury would give a lot more credence to a human eyewitness who can tell exactly what he/she saw and at what time of day than to whether a bloodhound wagged its tail. Think about Westerfield--even though he was guilty, the dogs were wrong.

"Oh one more thing....Scott probably had the GHB info on his computer so that he could get his GIRLFRIENDS compliant...not his wife!"
oh, I don't think that was an issue with Amber......lol......seemed pretty compliant to me.....
but alas, I'm old school.....

If there is research about GHB on that computer, then yes, it is yet another of their fragile circumstantial threads. They've got lots of those, apparently. Whether they can make a rope out of them remains to be seen.
I did indeed read up, a lot, while pregnant. It's just that I really was more interested in reading about things that the pregnant person herself could control, or which would involve only her, than in going into detail about what the doctor might give me once I got to the hospital. I was willing to leave those details to the doctors, and I just think most pregnant women are pretty much the same.
And yes, I agree, there seem to be a LOT of people who embrace the Lamaze stuff (usually first-timers), only to go into labor, and scream, "give me something for the pain!"
It just depends a lot on the dead victim's known habits, and on the known habits and movements of the suspect. Just like in pre-internet murder cases.
I don't know how well they can trace a person's surfing path on a computer. It would be interesting to see, though, if someone was researching, say, the tides around Brooks Island, just at the very same sitting as someone was googling GHB.

I don't know about this business of sending Scott the Victor article, or even just a Victor pic, you guys. I, for one, would hate to get in trouble with the jail staff over there. (snicker)
Why not just send the picture and/or the whole issue, to Jackie Peterson, with instructions to give it to Scott with the next pack of underwear she takes down to the jail for him?

From the cite you posted:
"can sometimes cause vomiting"
!!!!
What if he just plain poisoned her--never mind the strangulation part?

Thanks! Back atcha!

Oh, Spunky, you have missed something entertaining!!
Go to a recent thread on here; this thread is the one that's gotten up to at least 1200 posts. Look at either Post 340, or 430. (They are both the same article.)
I don't believe a word of it, but boy, it is a HILARIOUS article!!

Like (it seems) everything in this case, it appears that the computer trail concerning GHB--and we don't even know yet if such a computer trail exists--is more oblique proof of circumstances. And most circumstances, when looked at, can tell at least two different stories. So yes, it could probably tell of at least two different, opposing possibilities.
If someone was PURCHASING GHB online, however, that would make a difference, I think. Nothing to confirm that right now, of course, and I don't even know if it is possible to purchase the stuff that way. Probably not, at least not legally.
Knowing the regular surfing habits of both Laci and Scott would be helpful, but since people go home to use the computer, that's probably impossible to know for sure. Wonder if Scott had an office computer on which he could get online?

You took the words right out of my mouth...It's good to know there are like minds out here on FR!
To: kcvl; freedox
I spoke too soon. Kcvl's Post 80 has a site which claims customers can purchase GHB online with no prescription needed!
To: kcvl
Thanks for sharing your expertise. Yes, frankly, I can imagine the doctor rolling his eyes if his patient started trying to tell him what to give her for labor--unless the doctor had actually given the patient information on one or two standard methods, and told her to pick the one she thought she might like better.
To: cherry
I agree with you on Amber...I really have doubts on this whole GHB thing...I would not put it past scott to buy GHB or research it...perhaps pre Amber..if there is any truth to the fact that he had the drug in the first place.
To: kcvl
He sure appears to have been a busy little bee. I can picture him in his warehouse, with a vat of GHB mixing up, and a bucket of wet cement next to it...
What if, per one of the links you posted, he tried to PURCHASE GHB online? The link says it can be done. And he'd have had to give a credit card number.

"Why not just send the picture and/or the whole issue, to Jackie Peterson, with instructions to give it to Scott with the next pack of underwear she takes down to the jail for him? " LOL
You know, I was thinking...you just know she must get this kind of mail! She would get a lot less of if she kept her mouth shut...I'm sure she has got some pretty nasty stuff since her "There is nothing left of Laci in the house" stint!
To: oceanperch
You make a very good point here. If there is evidence that GHB might have been around the Peterson house, does it really matter so much WHO first brought it there?
I mean, Laci could have bought rat poison, but if he used it to poison her, what does it matter how it got there, as long as it were proved that it was THERE?
To: Devil_Anse
Don't you think this GHB thing is rubbish? If that was the "real" theory that the prosecution is cooking up they are in real trouble. They can't substantiate it at all, no broken thyoid bone (to prove strangulation) and no way to prove contents in the body being abnormal. Frankly if this was the real theory that the prosecution was going for...I doubt they would seek the death penalty. There has to be something more...or completely different. As far as this new "soft kill" theory (which supposedly came from the police), I am puzzled. Why would the police have PUBLICLY announced laci died as a result of a "violent homocide"? Soft kill and violent homocide are on the opposite ends of the spectrum...descriptively.
