It sounds dreadful to say it, but if the entire African continent dissolves into a seething maelstrom of disease, famine and brutality, that's just too damn bad. We have better things to do--sometimes, you just have to say, "Can't do anything about it." Giving up is not the Christian way. If the Muslims and pagans want to leave, fine. But God doesn't call Christians to give up on people, let alone entire continents.

So God demands that Christians bankrupt themselves trying to help people who are incapable of taking care of themselves? Is that what you are saying? No matter how much wealth is dropped on Africa, no matter how much aid and assistance and manpower is sent there, the end result is always the same. Misery and want. Poverty and despair. Butchery and warfare. Does God regard Christians in the same way as Zeus regarded Sisyphus?
