I don't feel Hillary is a valid threat - I believe you are right. I do think Al Gore has his sights on 2008. - Or 2004! I bet they get Hillary to VP on that ticket!

Based on advance orders, ''Living History'' now ranks No. 2 on Amazon.com's best-seller list, second only to the upcoming ''Harry Potter'' book, according to Reuters.Cowed and threatened supporters, universities, thinktanks, etc, are ordering the books en masse so the numbers look good. I cant imagine anyone would actually buy the book, can you?

He can have his sights on whatever he wants. The party faithful--and especially the big givers--are still seething over his loss in 2000. He is as dead politically as it gets.

"Based on advance orders, ''Living History'' now ranks No. 2 on Amazon.com's best-seller list, second only to the upcoming ''Harry Potter'' book, according to Reuters." Those are no doubt orders by booksellers. How many actual sales they ring up is another question.

...I think this is more likely, she will accept, humbly(barf), the nomination for the VP. If they lose, not her fault. If they win, the pres gets inaugurated, serves a short time, leaves office (one way or another), Hitlery becomes pres... I believe this is the way it will be done, in '04 or '08, whichever time suits her best. She would much rather run at the top of the ticket, but she will use whatever means possible to get back in the White House and power.
God help us if she does.

Weren't there polls galore stating that she didn't have a chance when she ran for senator? Be afraid. Be very afraid. You beat me to it. I remember the same polls, but somehow she ran and managed to win. I suspect the margin of negative votes was within the percentage points of fraud they are able to count on in any given election

Ditto. Why do we keep assuming that there is a one person, one vote system? She will win what she intends to win. How many people go to vote against her is irrelevant. I would hope the Republicans are working very hard at making sure the elections are cheat-proof.

It doesn't matter what the poll says. If she becomes president she would likely leave New York permanently but she would likely win New York in the general election. She will take the Pres or VP nomination. Bush has a chance of defeating her next year if the Conservative right-wingers don't turn on him like they did to his father and not fall prey to another phoney "Perot".

On the other hand the DemocRAT ticket is likely to be defeated in 2004. Also, it is possible she might not carry New York for the DemocRATS in 2004 given President Bush's popublarity there. In that case there will be lots of candidates lining up to run against Hillary in 2006. I read on another thead that Giuliani polls far ahead of Hillary. If Hillary gets defeated in 2006, it will kill her political career.
