So, they want to keep her as their senator?

while Republicans and Independents were deeply opposed to the concept of her seeking the Oval Office.Herein is the reason she will never become President. Not only don't Republicans want her, but neither do the all-important independent voters. And we're talking independents in NEW YORK, still one of the more liberal states in the country. Multiply her negatives about 10-fold in places like the South, the border states, and the west.

Too bad the ones who don't like her don't vote.

Weren't there polls galore stating that she didn't have a chance when she ran for senator? Be afraid. Be very afraid.

But will he run?
I thought his tiresome health problems precluded him continuing wiith his political career. And, of course, that mess with his mistress, although I suppose after 9/11 that's pretty much moot.
I think he'd be happier returning as mayor, myself, especially considering that his successor is looking, well, undistinguished.

Oh, I don't think she will run "willingly"(sarcasm). I believe she will rush in to 'save" the party when just before the convention something happens to derail the leader. Or, and I think this is more likely, she will accept, humbly(barf), the nomination for the VP. If they lose, not her fault. If they win, the pres gets inaugurated, serves a short time, leaves office (one way or another), Hitlery becomes pres, with the opportunity to run for 2 more terms!
Talk about a nightmare! And, she will say she was only doing it because they asked her. It was never her intention. (OK, now I really feel ill).
To: ozaukeemom
OOOOoooo, You really hit something there. I hadn't thought of that. 8 and a half years of Hitlery, she could also boast she was in longer than her husband!...
Now I need to shower...

"58 percent of registered New York state voters don't want Hillary to run for the nation's highest office..." What percent of the vote did she get when she ran for the Senate?
Does this mean they will tolerate her as a senator but would not as president? What the hell are New Yorkers trying to tell us?
To: ozaukeemom
Ditto...But she will also say it is "FOR THE CHILDREN"
To: fightu4it
From what I gather, she may not have a chance next run for senate.

This is why she's pulling a "Billy for Prez" move.
Billy left Arkansas just as he was about to be voted out of office.
Hillary won't win her Senate seat, so she needs to run in 2004. After that, she will no longer have a platform.

I don't feel Hillary is a valid threat. I do think Al Gore has his sights on 2008.

Correction. She won't "Run for President"; she'll "accept the draft of the Democratic Party".
To: Zavien Doombringer
The poll suggests nearly two-thirds of New Yorkers take Hillary at her word on that pledge.Fools. She knew what she was doing when she decided to run there.

(Admit it; Amendment XIX is very much to blame.)
