You become a christain and choise to live that way by choise

That's true, but still; the Christian faith santifies self sacrifice. If you had to choose between saving your own son or saving seven other boys, you'd be expected to save the seven ... and you'd never forgive yourself for sacrificing your own son.

The word is sanctifies, not santifies -- sorry.

And had we sacrificed a hundred thousand or so at the beginning of the Marxist/Leninist Revolution, 200 million would have been spared. This doesn't include all those killed by tyrants that have popped up from Lenin's putsch or the ones we had to prop up because the alternative was even worse, or where we had to fight proxy battles to prevent a spread. If we were truly still a Christian nation even then, we would have made the sacrifice and spared us a great deal of death, suffering, and made a more stable world. Instead we have just the opposite. A great deal of true Christianity was left behind because no one had the stomach for the truth and we failed to live up to the ideals which this country was founded.
