The exact quote from Jones was "All of these teams are Jews - Jew lawyers and Jew architects - and we need to do something about that," The fact that this wasn't even acknowledged by the Street regime for nearly six weeks suggests that Big John and his junta didn't see anything wrong with it.  Although that probably shouldn't be surprising since he doesn't see any thing wrong with having administration directors dedicated to assuring that city projects are shepparded towards Street allies of the right skin color.

 

John Street is not only an unapologetic racist, bigot and anti-Semite, but a bald faced liar too.  His claim that his hands are tied in firing Jones doesn't hold since he had no problem  firing Airport director Alfred Testa to replace him with his own flunkie Charles Isdell or Welcome America Director Susan Segal to hand out a job to Street cronie Kyle Lewis.

 

Big John is going to have his hands full this fall.  His margin of victory in 1999 was far less than the margin of voter fraud.  Statements such as
"Let me tell you: The brothers and sisters are running the city. Oh, yes. The brothers and sisters are running this city. Running it! Don't you let nobody fool you; we are in charge of the City of Brotherly Love. We are in charge! We are in charge!" Aren't going to do a lot for his chances to win votes in South Philadelphia or the River Wards.  Couple that with his limiting the live stop program (confiscation of cars from unlicensed or uninsured drivers) and property tax re-assessments to predominantly white sections of the city and Sam Katz has a better than legitimate chance of becoming the first Republican mayor of Philadelphia since Bernard Samuel in 1948.
