United Way PipeVine closes doors on Charities

United Way's PipeVine, an electronic processor for United Ways, closed its doors owing over $5 million to local charities throughout the country. Wall Street Journal and CNN carried a few lines, but this is another major blow to United Ways

United Way is just overhead. Give to the charities directly.

Your are right... but this is a side business of United Way of the Bay Area in California... I just saw the crawl on Fox... the AG is going in.... at times I think that United Way is like ENRON...
