how many American soldiers are spinkled around the world: 104,140 out of 230,484 active duty military as of Sept. 2002. If you like, bump that number up another 100,000 for recent deployments to Iraq, even though many probably went there from an overseas station.
to save America as a result of national security lies: For the sake of argument, let's assume every soldier stationed overseas is a result of national security lies. It's a false premise, but very libertarian.
I will wager the number is many times over any immigration issue.
Estimated illegal population in US: 7.0 million in January 2000.
Nonimmigrants admitted in FY 2000 under tempororary workers visa programs: 543,950, plus Spouses and children: 672,943 (Table 37)
Nonimmigrants admitted as temporary workers, exchange visitors, and intracompany transferees in FY 2000: 1,234,112 (Table 38)
I wasn't angry when I wrote my post to you, so it wasn't meant to be interpreted as indignant. I do think many of your posts reflect a cynicism that is expressed through overstatement, rather than reflecting a reasoned critique.
