Susan McDougal came to town on a book tour a few months ago and told a reporter that she "barely knew" Bill Clinton, had only met him once or twice, and the reporter accepted this as fact. If the reporter had done her homework, she would have known that the Clintons and McDougals were running buddies for several years in Arkansas, as reported in "Partners in Power" and elsewhere. But the reporter was more interested in repeating McDougal's lies about the evil Ken Starr.

To finish my thought, when McDougal said she "barely knew" Clinton, that was probably Clinton-speak for, "I was bare naked with him several times back in Arkansas, when Hillary was off doing billing work for the Castle Grande development."
