"How do you know no one chooses, for whatever reason (perhaps because of abuse by the opposite sex)?"
The truth is I can't answer definitely whether being gay is caused by genetics or by human choice. You know as well as I do that this area is unproven and hotly debated.
It is my opinion that being gay is genetic.
Your hypothetical presents an interesting argument for the opposite point of view, because there are probably cases where an abused spouse "switches to women." My response to this argument--she's still a heterosexual, but now she's having sex with women. Lots of heterosexuals engage in gay sex (expermentation, etc.), and vice versa.
Just because an abused spouse looks to the other sex doesn't change her fundamental nature because, as I said earlier, I don't believe people can control which sex they are attracted to.

I like New England. Not all the law professors at Harvard were liberal. No one here would believe that, but it's true. Also, Harvard had a good grading curve: I could beach for 3 years and graduate magna. The hardest part was getting in.
LOL, I expected to get stoned for my last post, but all I've gotten is that friendly response from you. What? Are the wolves asleep or something?!

Ok. Believe that if you like. The lifestyle is a choice and a choice I care not to have around my kids.

And you are entitled to raise your kids the way you see fit.
I just hope you will still love them if one turns out to be gay.

I think we should all be defined by our breast size. As a man... I would be deboobalized. A woman would be boobaliciously gifted.

what if after his-to-her operation was completed he-to-her found out he-to-her was now a lesbian?
To: Trace21230
Okay. Thanks for the straightforward answer. I just wondered what you thought about that. I could push it further, but I'll save it for next time.

LOLOLOLOL! They won't.
No one is born gay and if the soon to be out of the closet gay doctor heading the American Psychiatric Association would not have been able to change the ICD-9 codes in the 70's, all gays would be getting the proper treatment.
As it is, I have had many gay and lesbian friends before I had children. Nothing better than going to a club with a gay man, you both have something in common. Now the whole agenda is being shoved down my throat. Homosexual or heterosexual, keep it in your bedroom and out of my face.
The best solution to the whole problem is to let everyone who lives together have the same legal rights as a married couple when it comes to property ownership, insurance and death benefits. I had a problem putting my mom on my insurance and didn't like it.
But keep the gays prefer to define themselves by their sexual habits. I need not hear any of it and who gives a crap whether Heather has two Daddies. Leave my children alone.

I agree with everything you've said here.
It may come as a surprise to some on FR, but I am also opposed to gay marriage.
Marriage is a traditional religious institution that should be between a man and a woman. The gays can have "civil union" or whatever, but it shouldn't be called marriage.

pride,?PRIDE? What in the world do they have to be proud of? It would seem to be that being a degenerate and dying from AIDS because of a perverted lifestyle is something they should be sorrowful of. June, "Sorrowful and pathetic degenerate month more like it.

I'll never forget the male "nudist" group who bought some land down the road from my house and tried to start a "colony" there. I live in a small southern redneck town for goodness sakes. Those idiots were prancing around a pool where kids on a school bus got an eyefull every day on their way home from school. They were called G.A.N.G out of Atlanta. Need I say it, they are no longer there, ;)

Honestly Trace, I don't care if a person sleeps with his dog. If you and woofie want to have fun, cool with me. We seem to be on the same wavelength.
I'm sorry, I have a sister who wants me to accept her lover as a brother-in-law. I get defensive and I shouldn't. I just don't want to have to explain to my four year old again who that woman is coming out of Auntie's bedroom (after I asked her not to have the woman there with my kids) and I don't want to see her at Christmas before I get to know her. It's just distasteful, when no one in the family has other lovers at the Holidays.

I doubt most kids would ever "turn out gay" if they were not subjected to it on a constant basis in schools, tv, etc. Since "gay" folks choose to be that way, I'd be willing bet that much of the reason is because kids are constantly told "it's ok to be queer" from their public school facillitators and on television.
The world is getting more and more degenerat in it's sexual behavior. Lust can no longer be satisfied by the natural means. Says a lot about this generation.
