I doubt that 50% number is correct. That would make it, what, 140 million Americans attending church every Sunday? Highly doubtful.

50% is definitely not true. According to the polls, the number is 40%, but in reality it's probably more like 33%, which I'd wager is still pretty high compared to most countries.

If it were true, the NFL would fold, which is likely the reason that so many up here in Canada don't attend church. I blame America and the Buffalo Bills for Canada losing it's religion.
