Perhaps someone can aid my memory on this, but I believe Durbin did a similar flip-flop re: pro-life. If I recall correctly at one time he was pro-life, but later had to switch to be a statewide democratic candidate.
If you can make that transition so easily, doing an about face on the war on terror should be a breeze.
