Useful Idiots on Parade, May 30-June 1 edition! (G8 Protest caption-a-rama)

Once again, Communist forces were out in the streets showing what geniuses they are...

(Sung to the tune of “Paint Your Wagon”) “Gonna beat some hippies, gonna beat ‘em good, brother I’m not kiddin’, they’re eatin’ baton wood!”

The stink train rolls into Geneva.

OK, I might be misreading the sign, but if he’s a skinhead, why does he have hair? Also, what’s the point of the mask? I’ll bet ten to one I could pick that hair out of a line up all by itself.

A member of the socialist forces shows why they’re intellectually superior to right-wing bumpkins like ourselves. How can you argue against such eloquence?

When did Mummenschanz go Commie? They seemed so harmless when they were on the Muppet Show...

If this pic was scratch and sniff, would you dare?

Geneva police clear protestors out of a local bar: “All right, you don’t have to stay home, but you can’t stay here!”

It takes four cops to handle this one guy because they are weakened by the stench. The tank on the one guy’s back is industrial strength deodorant.

These guys didn’t get the memo that the war is over already. Of course, I’m assuming they can read...

Nope, there aren’t any Commies among those anti-globalist types, no sir...

Peace and justice at the G8 protests.

“Wow! They stink so bad you can see it!” (OK, I promise I’ll retire that joke now.)

Something about this picture just warms the cockles of my heart.

“I said, I’ve got two brains cells left!”

I have no idea what to say about this one.

Hepcats for Communism.

“What do we want?” “Food Stamps!” “When do we want them?” “Now!”

And last, but not least, this bonus pic from a Puerto Rican gay pride parade, for which no comment is really necessary:

Anti-G8 protesters go on rampage in ‘city of peace'

GENEVA (AP) - A largely peaceful demonstration against the Group of 8 summit in Evian deteriorated into pitched battles between riot police and protestors intent on an orgy of destruction and looting that continued into early Monday.
For more than nine hours, police used rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons against several thousand militants who rampaged through the Swiss city of Geneva, turning its elegant streets into a sea of glass and leaving the air heavy with acrid fumes. Swiss police raided a youth cultural centre, which acted as a base for the protesters, while German police - brought in to bolster the Swiss - made repeated baton charges.

The protesters looted gas stations, pharmacies and other shops, leaving downtown Geneva in chaos and its self-described status as a "city of peace" in tatters. Only a handful of stores were left intact - mainly those which had anti-G-8 or anti-war banners in their windows. Even the bulletproof windows of big banks were smashed.

Riot police tackle G8 protesters

04.06.2003

GENEVA - Police fired rubber bullets and water cannon at rock-throwing demonstrators in Geneva as protests against a summit of world leaders turned violent for the third successive day.

A crowd several thousand strong gathered around a central city bridge where demonstrators were staging a sit-down protest over about two dozen arrests.

Police, wearing full riot gear, moved in to end the demonstration, using water jets and tear gas, but came under attack from other parts of the crowd.

Arrests were made as the clashes continued around the centre of the city.

Demonstrators have been prevented from reaching the site of the Group of Eight summit over the border in Evian, France, and the protests have focused on Geneva.

The summit of leading industrial countries is limping to an anticlimactic close in the absence of United States President George W. Bush, on a peacemaking trip to the Middle East.

The other seven leaders from Germany, Japan, Russia, France, Britain, Italy and Canada will wrap up the annual G8 gathering with an upbeat statement on prospects for a world economic recovery.

They will also pledge renewed vigour in the fight against terrorism and the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

Bush won an endorsement of his priority for the fight against the spread of nuclear, biological and chemical arms, if not of his policy of pre-emptive strikes against such threats.

The leaders demanded that North Korea and Iran, two countries in Bush's so-called "axis of evil", curtail their nuclear programmes, accept intrusive inspections and renounce atomic weapons.

A G8 statement said the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism were "the pre-eminent threat to international security".

But it did not mention Bush's plan to stop and seize shipments of suspected weapons of mass destruction and missiles on sea and in the air.

The statement came as lawmakers from both parties in Washington pressed the Bush Administration to offer more information behind its charges that Iraq had such weapons.

Senate Armed Services Committee chairman John Warner, a Virginia Republican, said his panel would hold hearings on the issue, possibly with the Senate Intelligence Committee, because "the situation is becoming one where the credibility of the Administration and Congress is being challenged".

Representative Henry Waxman of California, top Democrat on the House of Representatives Government Reform Committee, called on Bush to explain why the Administration repeatedly cited dubious and later discredited documents to back a claim that Iraq might have been pursuing nuclear weapons.

The White House defended the intelligence it presented to justify the war against Iraq.

Secretary of State Colin Powell said he thought the evidence that Iraq had continued to develop weapons of mass destruction was "overwhelming".

A few more:

CALGARY — Protesters dropped their pants to protest globalization at the G8 Summit. But they lined up in the wrong order, so instead of spelling BOYCOTT GAP, their bottoms spelled BY TOPCOAT.

Did you notice the sign that spelled 'Marxist' as 'Marksist'?

Or is it spelled that way in another language? I'm guessing not. I'm guessing that the idiot who painted the sign is a little spelling-challenged. That's not a disaster, per se, but these nitwits should at least get someone who CAN spell do create the signs. Sheesh.

Reminds me of the story of a French woman who was jealous of her husband's infatuation with Brigette Bardot. She went to the tattoo parlor and had the man put the initials BB on her rump (one on each cheek).

She waited for her husband at home to surprise him. Later as she bent over while undressing, her husband asked, "Who the 'heck' is BoB???"
