What? You think it's okay for a stranger to breastfeed a baby?

You have a point with the 'stranger' aspect of this case.
I recall that women in a ranching area I lived in in the '70s would occasionally feed each other's babies.
Certainly, no one thought ill of it, or was even discomfited.
I can see why the mother would be upset, but where is the prosecutor getting the 'outraging public decency' idea ?
That seems a tad 'clenched' to me.

I said nothing about it being ok for a stranger to breast feed another's child. It was more of a comment on using cow's milk.

I definitely think what this lady did was wrong because she had no permission from the mother. Although, I don't have problems with women breastfeeding each others kids with permission. They actually have milk banks where women donate breastmilk for babies who are sick/premature and need it most. But doing it without permission is really a bad idea.

What? You think it's okay for a stranger to breastfeed a baby? Sure it beats the stranger cow's milk processed by some chemical corporation. Haven't you heard about wet nurses ?
This woman should should be rewarded for doing the favor to the child.
