One of my business contacts has one of those new phones with photo ability. His boss has started asking him to send pics to prove he is where he is supposed to be.

His boss needs to receive a picture of him walking into his new company for his first day of work. I can also think of another "digital" picture I'd send this guy. ;-)

Well, it's the apocalyps!!! Digital Angel already has the chip implanted in a family right now, in colorado. They also provided the Chips for Animal control, and Pet IDs.

It will be voluntary at first, then it will be optional form of ID, then it will be advertised that you aren't a good citizen if you don't get it, then before you know it, it's mandatory for commerce and healthcare. Then if you don't get it, you are a traitor and a spy only to be executed on the spot...It's all written and it will be done!

Anyone associated with the military already has it. Called the Common Access Card (CAC). My computer at work now has a port for it. I simply push it in and bingo, I am logged on and ready to go. When they are made you have to wait while the information is burned into it. What information? I don't know.

Ours has that plus security clearance data, access restrictions and other data normally found in personnel files. Who now has access? Maybe that is why it is called a "common accss card."

Please tell me specifically what we have lost through the Patriot Act. No one has been able to cite a specific, just vague fears and angst. Give me one example of what privacy we have lost to the Patriot Act. I have not read it, but I do know all searches are still subject to judicial review and approval, just as now. Help me out here; I sincerely want to know the facts.

It will start on a voluntary basis as a test program with a small group within the military.

The results will be very promising, academia will try their own versions.

Then it will be tried on parolees in exchange for reduced time.

Then all prisoners.

Then anyone who is arrested.

Then underage students (to protect them).

Gradually, the web will encircle everyone. It will be required to enter govt buildings, to use credit cards etc.

In one form or another, these TIA type digital surveillance and collection webs will ensnare us all in our lifetimes.
